What is FareLock?

FareLock allows you to keep your reserved fare and buy your trip later. Uncover that your route's price will not increase and that your flight will not sell off as you are buying. FareLock will only make a reservation for an itinerary, which can be purchased later, through the way of United airlines official website, the United App, and the Consumer Contact Center.

Itineraries can be retained with FareLock for either three, seven, or 14 days. The price of your trip during the retention time is assured before the purchase has been completed.

How to use FareLock?

Look for the FareLock logo as you pick flights if you book on United.com. If available, you can purchase FareLock from the Purchase Options section of the Review itinerary page after choosing flights. Look for the FareLock feature when you pick your flights when you book the United app.

For an itinerary with FareLock, you can go to united, before the hold ends, to handle your reservations. The auto buying option can also be used to finish transactions automatically at the end of the FareLock keeping time. You can do so any time before the FareLock hold expires if you wish to cancel the itinerary saved.

An email recall is submitted 24 hours before FareLock ends.
